Description

I thought it would be fun to print out 's famous Power Puff Girls Doujinshi and make them into real comics. Took awhile, but it was worth it - I gotta tell ya, it's a lot more fun reading them in your hands. If you haven't read them yet, go and do so now! You won't regret it.

UPDATE//
For those of you interested in the production process:

To begin I had to layout all of the pages, split them up and reorder them, so that when printed out and formed into a book, the correct pages face eachother. This usually resulted in an uneven number of pages, so I filled the rest out with additonal *bleedman artwork from his gallery, most often I used the character charts as center spreads (see image). At the time I had started *bleedman had only created one cover, so I used art from his gallery to create the rest. However, he recently released covers for chapters 2-4, so I replaced them with his official cover designs. You can still see my designs for the last two issues (I assume he'll eventually release covers for those as well). I also created matching back covers, but you can't see them here. The coolest is the final issue, which fully wraps around to the back, and then the inside cover has a cool mirror-image charcol effect of the cover. The pages are printed on HP soft-gloss photopaper and the covers are printed on Kodak Premium High Gloss, High-quality photopaper. This gives the covers a bright and shiny finish, and the colors stand out extremely well. It's a heavier weight paper than the inside pages, giving it a professional feel, and the inside covers are textured. You're not really supposed to print on the water-marked textured side, but it turns out fine and gives it a really cool feel (and covers up the "kodak" watermarks). I printed all of these on my old HP deskjet printer sitting on my desk. I also cut, folded and stapled all 6 books by hand.

That said, NO, I am not selling these. Nor will I make other copies to sell. That would be disrespectful not only to *bleedman, but also to Craig McCracken and Cartoon Network, not to mention illegal, since these characters are all copyrighted. In addition, it simply wouldn't be worth all the time and effort required. I encourage you instead to learn how to configure your printer to print in high-quality, buy some photopaper and a paper cutter, and make your own. It's a fun project, I promise!
